A duette is an absolutely luxurious and stylish window decoration. The honeycomb structure creates a unique gap between the panes, which insulates and saves energy.
We do not sell duettes online. The structures, translucence and tactility have to be seen and felt! In addition, good advice on the various design options is an absolute must.
Benefits and ease of use
Duettes have many advantages: they are insulating, can be made to fit many different window shapes and are also particularly suitable for use in tilt/turn or skylights. Fabrics are available from transparent to blackout, and when using a frame-fit/EasyClick, even perfect blackout can be achieved. Duettes are easy to operate manually or electrically via a remote control or app. By hand, there is a choice of different options with or without a cord. The duettes are anti-static and dust-resistant from the factory, which means that they will remain beautiful for a long time.
Insulating and energy-saving
The honeycomb structure creates a stagnant layer of air between the 2 fabric sides. This layer of air acts as an insulation layer and keeps the temperature more or less constant. So it keeps heat out in summer and prevents heat loss in winter. The energy savings can be as much as 25%, which in turn saves on heating costs!
Duette also ideal at your workplace
Thanks to its unique light-filtering properties, this window decoration perfectly meets the European standards for light transmission. By playing with the position of the duette, you can avoid having light on your screen but still keep enough light in the room.
Top - Down - Bottom - Up
Abbreviated TDBU and term you will hear a lot with duette. By choosing this extra option, you have the option of putting the product halfway up the window or moving only from bottom to top or top to bottom. A great option in that workplace too.
Not surprisingly, most Duette are also sold in TDBU.
Transparent during the day - blackout at night (Day&Night)
If you choose the "Day and Night" option, the product will be fitted with 2 fabrics. 1 transparent fabric that you can use during the day to filter the light and set the mood, 2 a thicker or even blackout fabric that prevents peeping in at night and allows you to darken the room yourself.
TruFit / FrameFit (EasyClick) ideal for Tilt&Turn windows!
In many homes, turn-tilt windows are used and the question arises "what about the window decoration?".
If you opt for a duette, there are nevertheless several options. With a Framefit, the duette is mounted in a Frame and this frame is again placed on the tilt and turn window without drilling or screws. The advantage of this is that you won't see any mounting brackets anywhere, the frame, which is available in different colours, forms a whole with the window frame and, in the case of a blackout fabric, a much better blackout can be achieved.
If a frame is not possible, you can also opt for a TruFit model. The side profiles are then stuck to the glass with a special tape. In the case of a wooden or plastic frame with a wide glazing bar, you can even consider attaching it to the glazing bars.
Transparent Duette
With a transparent duette, you can control the light in your home beautifully and subtly. This creates a cosy atmosphere in your home or workplace. Stylish yet practical, cleaning with just a soft brush. Not only insulating but also good for acoustics. The transparency means you retain contact with the outside world.

Semi Transparent Duette - light no vision!
With a semi-transparent duette, you buy a view-proof yet stylish window decoration. You retain light but prevent the possibility of looking in, but you cannot look out when closed either.
By choosing the Top Down Bottom Up option, you can put this duette in a position where, for example, at the bottom or top there is still a space to maintain contact and a view of the outside world.
Available in various pleat depths of 25 / 32 and 64 mm. Wide range of operation options and a duette is possible for many windows/shapes and sizes. In many cases, the 25 mm variant can also be used with a narrow glazing bar, whether or not in combination with a FrameFit or Trufit.

Blackout Duette
Beautiful / stylish window decoration that also darkens. With a duette, the cords are on the inside between the two fabrics, so there are no annoying holes like with the Plissé curtains. If you want absolute blackout, you will have to think about a FrameFit/Easyclick or a sealing side profile!

Dense in this case is really dense and dark. If you use this product in the bedroom, it is recommended to combine it at least with a nice matching inbetween. Then you can sleep dark at night and still move freely in the bedroom during the day without feeling like it's still night.

Easyclick / FrameFit
Especially for mounting on a tilt&Turn window, especially the versions where screwing is not allowed, such as in plastic or aluminium, a duette can be mounted using a frame. Also called FrameFit or Easyclick.
Note only applicable to a duette with a pleat width of 25 mm.
The duette is mounted in a frame and this entire frame is fixed to the window frame with magnetic tape. If you want to clean the windows or go for a major cleaning, the frame is easy to remove and return.
Mounting in this way has a number of advantages:
You will have heard before that every advantage also has a disadvantage, and that applies to this product as well as to any product fitted to a tilt-and-turn window. As soon as you open or turn the window, the product moves with it and stays in place. However, by opening the window, especially if you expect blackout, light can still come in.
The frame profiles are available in several Ral standard colours and can also be stove-enamelled in any Ral colour to achieve an even better match with the window frames.
If, for whatever reason, a frame is not possible or not an option for you, we can always see if the product can be mounted on and between the glass slats. Thereby TruFit be the right option. Here, the side profiles are stuck to the gals between the gals slats with a special tape. The product then moves flush along the glass and is trapped between the gals as it were.
We do not sell FrameFit products online, you have to see them! Together with our advisers, you will come to the right decision.
